Anne Summer

In a beautifully restored circa-1810 building on King Street, Rapport proprietor Anne Summer created a shopping destination for women seeking fine fashions and exemplary service. The store's cross generational clientele enjoys access to established and emerging designers, an expert staff, and a perfectly positioned store in downtown Charleston's shopping district.

The name Rapport represents the unique relationship a woman's has with her clothes and clothier. Anne saw a void in the marketplace when in 2009 retail mainstay Saks Fifth Avenue shuttered its Charleston doors. As a frequent Saks shopper, she had come to trust a handful of the store's most knowledgeable staff. The loss of their personalized attention and access to exclusive labels changed the King Street landscape. Anne assembled the former anchors of the Saks Fifth Avenue Club, Designer Salon, and Alterations Department and drawing on their years of retail experience, she selected a prime location and opened Rapport.
